The Property Industry is committed to deliver and to help. For this year’s bike ride, 20 cyclists will cycle through the Black Forrest from the Place des Halles shopping centre in Strasbourg to Munich in order to attend the International Investment Property Fair, EXPO REAL. From October 8th to 10th, they will ride 430km, stopping in Glätten, Ulm and Munich to raise funds for the fight against Cystic Fibrosis. Keen cyclists from LaSalle, Panattoni and BCLP are eager to fulfill the challenge in order to help those most in need.

For the main sponsors of the event, LaSalle and Panattoni, cycling is a team sport which is perfectly aligned with their core values, and as such this is the perfect opportunity to combine an exciting cycling route and raising money for a good cause.

Please see below information on the association that we have once again decided to support:
Cystic fibrosis (CF) is a genetic disease that mostly affects the lungs and digestive system. It results from a fault in a particular gene. People with CF develop a lot of very thick and sticky mucus in their lungs, airways and the digestive system. They have problems digesting food and experience repeated lung infections, which can permanently damage their lungs. Since its creation, Vaincre la Mucoviscidose has enabled considerable advances to be made in relation to the lives of patients and their families, thanks to the commitment of healthcare providers and researchers working alongside it. The most indicative figure is that concerning life expectancy. It used to be 7 years for children born in 1965 and is now close to 50 years for those born today.

Our primary goal for this event is to collect over €2,000 for this excellent association, Vaincre la Mucoviscídose. Here are some examples of how your donations will be used:

• Reunion Island is very affected by cystic fibrosis. Some families are forced to move to mainland France to enable their sick child to receive the care that is essential to maintain their health. €1,100 enables the association to help a low-income family to move to mainland France.

• It is not easy for a young person suffering from cystic fibrosis to make life plans. €1,000 will enable the association to help a young adult on a low income to move out of the parental home for the first time. In this way, the association helps patients to become more independent.

• For cystic fibrosis patients, it is essential to live in a very healthy environment in order to avoid as much as possible the superinfections that cause the progressive deterioration of their lungs. Between their intensive treatment and the fatigue caused by their disease (and even in the most precarious health situations, a considerable reduction in physical capacities), patients are not always in a position to maintain their homes properly. With €1,000, the association can pay for a patient to have a household helper.

We ask that you be generous for this excellent cause and help us to help them.

77% of our funds are based on people’s generosity.
This means the full independence of our association. Vaincre la Mucoviscidose speaks freely for people with CF and for their loves ones before the authorities, which allows us to take positions and make claims.
